This painting is part of the series The Nameless Horse. Whose title refers to a free horse, a horse without an owner and, therefore, a horse without a name. As is the case of the zebra, a species of the genus Equus just like horses. Wild and nameless equine that in this case is represented in mimesis with the space it occupies. With a predominance of vertical lines, its artistic reference is the works of the painter Morris Louis (1912-1962). Although in this work the lines are more studied and organic, trying to mimic the background with the figure. On the other hand, Louis’ lines are more casual, since he made direct pours of paint on the canvas.
