This work is part of the series El Ser Caballo. The motivation behind this series is to induce reflection on the Human – Horse relationship. Reflection that can be extrapolated to the relationship and manipulation of Nature by us.
Horse power, is a work done with photo transfers and acrylic paint on canvas. Image and gestural painting are combined, also employing “frottage” and “dripping” procedures, with the intention of creating a formal and compositional unit where painting and images coexist. The main artistic reference being the pictorial collage by Robert Rauschenberg (USA, 1925-2008).
