The main characteristics of this painting are the color and the clear definition of shapes and lines. The title reminds us of the lyrical work written by the Spanish writer and Nobel Prize winner for Literature (1956) Juan Ramón Jiménez, which poetically recreates the life of the donkey Platero, his inseparable childhood and youth friend.
Among the forms of this pictorial composition is the silhouette of Platero, and we can also find a bicycle. Both can be considered non-polluting means of transport, although the former needs more pampering.
